Hello everyone, I was curious if this new chips will have H.265 hardware encoder with 8, 10 or 12 bit and what video compression picture types also supports by hardware.
Which ones? The APUs?
I’m more curios in CPU Ryzen Serie 3000 and Radeon RX 5700 and XT, but will be interesting know if the APUs have it.
Since the Ryzen 3000 CPUs don’t have any GPU components, I don’t think they will have any kind of hardware encoder/decoder for video. The Radeon 5700 series seems to be great on the other hand.
The new APUs are just 12nm revisions of the 2200G/2400G, so probably nothing new there.
Thanks for the video. Looks like RX5700 takes more time for encode 4k 60Hz but can encode 6 videos at the same time without spending more time
