im building a new pc and was wondering for a 780 sli would i need a 860w psu or a 1200w because im not planing to upgrade i was going to buy but just making shure that a 860w psu would handle two 780's and im buying the ax....i series power supply from corsair.

A 860w psu would be plenty for 2 780s however if you ever wanted to upgrade from that you probable wouldn't be able to. the general rule for ultimate efficiency is about 80% utilization of the psu. considering that the psu will degrade slightly over time. so if your rig wont change it should be fine
