Good day
Going to keep it as short as possible, I’m about to career shift and getting myself my first job within cybersecurity (SOC-analyst) this year and are hitting into some limits with my Dell XPS 15 from 2021.
Don’t need anything else then just the computer.
Budget: ~ 4000€
Location: Sweden (can buy from EU)
Use case from most → less hours: VM(labs/forensics), DB queries, premiere pro (4-6k video), Gaming (FPS), Ai-models
OS: Windows
Requirements: nic 10Gb/s, 96gb ram +
What i prefer is air-cool, now noise and snappy in performance. im leaning towards Intel since productivity is my main focus and for videocard is where i have a problem where i really cant decide, can also wait for half a year on 5070/5080 and get a intel B580 meanwhile.
Have a NAS where i offload most of my storage except “currently in works” and a XCP-ng server for services running 24/7.
Currently have 2x1440p display but will update when i move (1 year from now) most likely to 1x4k + 2x1440p monitors.
