Hello everyone im trying to make a cheap gaming build around 350$-500$ and i would like to go with amd not intel at the moment......but if you could help and give me your ideas that would be great..........Thak you
*thank you*
uhhh is there a particular reason you want to go amd? I mean I'm no intel fanboy, I enjoy amd but its hard to argue with benchmarks
I can post the best you can get with amd and the best with intel, pretty sure the intel one will be faster but I'll leave that up to you to choose, I'll post benchmark comparisons too and explain why what is faster than what if you'd like
please and thanks for the help :)
okay here is the AMD rig
HDD EMCNBHG38
optional but recommended for overclocking
I'll post some more info in a hour busy busy

once again thank you for your time
nice find tacopat
HDD EMCNBHG38
now the heatsink fits into the budget thanks to tacopat, with that you can safely OC to 4Ghz
ehh I was going to do a sandybridge build but it would only have more upgradablity, a 4Ghz 955 should be suffcient
overclock settings once you have that 212 heatsink
240 FSB
CPU multi=17
drop the ram multiplier down from 8 to 6.67 (6.67*240=1600)
1.4v-1.45v on the CPU
drop the HT multipier down from 10 to 9 (2160)
change the CPU NB to 1.2125-1.275
enjoy your 4Ghz 955 with overclocked memory controller and L3 Cache
sweet thank you
could i go with 4gb of ram instead of 8gb
You'll want 8GB especially when you only have 2 ram slots, it would suck if the 2 sticks you bought were useless when you upgraded, but yeah if you only want 4GB get this but I'm telling that for only $15 more its a snag to get the 8GB that you'll never regret
