New PC for my mother!

I am building a new computer for my mother :)
And I would like your input, Here are the specifications:

Case:
- Cooler Master CM Force 500 Midi Tower

CPU:
- AMD FX-8320 Black Edition, Socket-AM3+
- 8-Core (4 Physical).
- 3,5 GHz, 16 MB Cache, 125W, 32nm.

CPU Cooler:
- Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler.
- 775/115x/2011/2011-3/1366/, AM2(+)/AM3(+)/FM1, 600~1600 RPM, 66 CFM, 9~31 dBA.

Motherboard:
- Gigabyte GA-970-Gaming, Socket-AM3+.
- ATX, 970FX+SB950, DDR3, 2xPCIe-x16, CFX, USB 3.1, M.2, KillerE2200.

RAM:
- HyperX Fury DDR3 1600MHz 16GB Black.
- 2x8GB CL10 DIMM.

SSD:
- Kingston SSDNow UV400 120GB OEM.
- 550/350MB/s read/write.

PSU:
- Corsair CX600M, 600W PSU.
- ATX 12V V2.3, 80 Plus Bronze, Semi-Modular.

GPU (Pre-Owned):
- Gainward 9800GT (I believe, 5 years old and rubbed out text).
- radeon hd 5570 1gb ddr3 (very old as well).
Which would you recommend?

We live in Norway, the PC is for heavy browser use, so CPU is only focus.
I try to keep cost down as it is not used for much demanding tasks.
Any assistance or opinions would be greatly appreciated ;D

If it is only going to be used for browser stuff and whatnot I suggest going for the G3258 or something similar instead simply due to the lower power consumption.

AM3+ chips aren't suited well for just general PC stuff, nor is most higher end chips really.

And then you open 2 youtube tabs and CPU dies.Go with 8320.

If I knock it down to a lower-end PC, I will save maybe 1/3 of the money due to the pricing in Norway.
Actually a little less than 1/3 even I think, after checking them online.

An Athlon 64 3000+ is eneugh for watching youtube

My brother was gaming even on a E8400 until a few weeks ago, while listening to music on youtube.

You dont need a 125watt 8core do watch youtube videos.

What makes you think a modern intel dualcore cant handle 2 youtube streams?

Swap the CPU for an FX-4300. That will do and cost less.

well I would recomend just getting a fm2+ system with an apu.
The 7850k has eneugh cpu power for browsing and its integrated gpu is better than both the 9800gt and hd 5570.

You know what, go with this guys suggestion.
8 core is utterly overkill, and going for the APU is going to have much better idle power consumption than the other suggestions.

I'd maybe even suggest going for the more expensive one with the wraith cooler instead of using the 212.

I think I will end up getting the FX-4300 as it is almost 1/2 the price of the APU, and fits the system that have been put together. And graphics are not a big problem in this build.
Still curious which card is better if you have knowledge of these?

Well the HD 5770 is newer and stronger. but when perfomance doesnt matter i would go with whatever is cheaper.
Noise is to be considered to but that depends on which cooler is used, they differ form manufacturer
Both cards need a 6 pin power connector.

Can I just say both of you are full of yourselves. I used to use a pentium 4. A year ago. For years. Everything went fine.

Anyways have a gander at this

If you have a 9800 thats perfect just use that. I have one, don't worry about video or any of that nonsense.

Solid system. Nothing else to say.

I just think its better to be future proof. Why take something that is weaker when you can get 8320 and forget about it.

An 8320 will NOT last as long as you think. For me it might, but they are based around editing and gaming. They also don't have microcode updates anymore so anything that could have been patched has been patched. With a chip like the 860k you're getting hardware you can make into a rig later on. Future proofing for a processor isn't based on purchase its based on microcode updates, overclockability, an SSD, and HDD/SSD file systems.

For example: http://www.cnet.com/products/acer-aspire-one-d150/

If I only had that netbook I can do 1 of 2 setups to future proof it.

1: Using windows I can get the fastest hard drive possible and defrag on boot. I could also get an SSD but it won't be utilized very well because its a 2007 netbook. One gig of ram is fine in this instance and windows 7 will do well on this.

2: Go for broke and use linux, get an SSD, get the fastest DDR2 2GB chip I can, and use something like XFS for its advanced journaling.

An atom still gets microcode updates even though they were canceled. Code is still pushed for bugs mostly because schools buy them by the buttload. An 8320/50/70 will be BEST on a hackintosh anymore. Last year I mmight of said differently because no one knew if Zen was real. But since mcode is over on the current FX chips and single core performance is not there I wouldn't look at them as a viable and power efficient item.

Edit: Though if you bought an old chip that was an 8320/50/70 I would recommend using linux on it for a while so that you can make sure all the microcode gets implanted. Windows has screwed up a pentium 4 machine for me this week because it fucked up the update so if you do get one OP just do a linux install first and let all that crap do its thing. Update it and reboot a few times, then do whatever.
