Just gonna speak on your keyboard for now. Might look at the build later.

The Razer Arctosa is a rubber dome keyboard, which means its internals are litterally a sheet of rubber with wires. If your going to get a rubber dome keyboard, don't spend more than $20, just get the standard logitech keyboard and be done with it. If you are willing to drop a bit more on the keyboard, you should jump to one of the many mechanical keyboards in the market, which you can get a for as low as $65 in the states. I don't know what the mechanical board selection is like down under, but there are plenty of boards you could go for, they will range between about $65 to well over $200 in the US. If your looking for a budget keyboard, see if you can find a Cooler Master QuickFire Rapid, or QuickFire Pro if you can't do tenkeyless.

If you can't afford that, than go with a simple $20 board and put the money towards something else, or save it up for a mech board later.

EDIT: Looked it up for ya,  bit more expensive but not insanely so:

For the $5 extra I'd go for the Pro.

Hey man, looking at your build. If you want a bit more performance for about 10 dollars more, look at this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226236

Thanks heaps for the reply, i'll see what i can do to get a mech keyboard. Are all the other boards other then mech similar to this? And how do you determine if a keyboard is rubber dome?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Velict, the link is telling me that the newegg server is down at the moment but i'll keep trying.

I'm from down under and i have a quick fire rapid cherry black & i got is for $85 at pc case gear. i do like it, don't get me wrong i'm never switching back to rubber dome after this, but the stabilizers on longer keys squeak horribly. so i wouldn't recomend any mechanical that doesn't use cherry stabilizers because they might squeak also. nothing a little plastic safe lube from the hardware store won't fix though :)

Thats where i will be ordering this build from. Thanks heaps for the advice :)

As much as i would like a mechanical board the coolermaster is almost double the price. I know it sounds stingy, but what about something like the Logitech G105 Gaming Keyboard ? - http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=113_257&products_id=19562

And what do use think about the rest of the build?

Thanks.

If the board doesn't state its a mechanical board then it probably isn't, mech boards are more expensive to make and a mech board's biggest selling point is that it is a mech board. It would be like a Ferrari car not stating it was made by Ferrari.

Ah, yes. I have a friend with a QuickFire Rapid as well and he too initially complained about the squeaking of his left shift key, but he popped it open, dab of lube and hasn't squeaked since, been about a year.

i would recommend getting everything at pccg becaue the geys that work there are absolutely awesome, the customer service is fantastic and the support is awesome also. pccg's dilervery is also takes like 1-3 days to get to you and everything comes Uber wrapped in bubble wrapping :) http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=108378&action=wish_lists this is what i'd recomend
1st. razer headsets are balls do i went with a corsair 1300 (it'll be a very nice headset when paird with that sound card)
2nd. i added a  cheap sound card just because the audio quality is like 20 time better that onboard
3rd. i changes the mobo to the extreme 4 because it's a better oveclocker than the micro atx version
4th. i added 212 evo so that you can actually overclock on the 3570k you already had
5th. i changed up the keyboard to a leopold fc500r bacuase despite anything anybody on the planet will say, a mechanical is better than a membrane, i'll leave the choice of swithes upto you though (i stuck reds in as an example)
6th. i changed up the gfx card to the dcuII model just because gigabyte cards suck balls, they're loud, they don't cool verry well and they're made of cheep components
7th. i swapped the psu down to a 520w just because on a system like this at full load, even with a massive overclock, realistically will not really peak to much above 350w but i kept it modular for the asthetics
8th. i added in the deathadder because it's the mouse i use every day and i love it :) hopefully you will to
that concludes. even though my wishlist is more expencive, you will be far better off having the more well rounded bottleneckless system that has parts you'll want to throw at the wall after a month of use ;)

if you're a gamer don't even consider rubber domes, just a no no. i used to have the g510, same as the g105 but with a screen, and i gave up on it. it was just so slow to react and didn't give me any stumulation pressing the key down. the mechs just feel soooo much better under your fingers. but if you're buying a mech, do some research and pick the switches that are right for you http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/mechanical-keyboard-guide here is an awesome guide for figuring out witch key ir right for you. i chose blacks and now i kinda wanna find out how reds feel in comparison, because the blacks are a little to heavy for me ;)

typing speed icreases dramatically also within the first few hours of sitting infront of one  :)

Yeah a heap of people have said its got awesome customer service.

Thanks for being so helpful man. How do the 1300's feel after long periods of time?

I orginally had a 550W psu but switched it to a 600W just to be sure. But i will change it back.

Thanks heaps :)

the 1300 feels quite nice actually. the ear cups have a soft plush meterial on them that makes it nice and comfy and lets your ears beath so they don't get to hot. the ear cans are large too so there's no seating on your ear, it sits over the top and that's really good for long tetris seshes :P

i'll change up a few things and see how i go :)

Also, do you think a 64gb ssd has enough room for windows and 1 or 2 games?

Yeah i was looking around for ones that fit completely over the ear, they're so worth it.

the 64gb drive will be fine. windows takes like 20-30gb so you'll have a decent amount left for major programs and a couple games :)

hells yeah! the earphones are decent in a sence of audio quality in a normel cenario, but with a cheap dgx they're these absolutely ear melting peices of awesome. + they're really comfy

they're cheap too. really good value for money
