Sadly my G700s is dying. No matter what the mouse cursor flies all over the screen. Three years of quake, TF2, league, and traveling around and it has been bumped around. I want to try to fix it if I find the time but I otherwise need a new mouse.
Since the 2014 naga and G600 are getting marked down at a local store, I can only assume that new mice are coming out soon as these two are on sale. I don't care about the pretty lights, braided cables, or even weight, though I do prefer a heavier mouse. Since they both seem to be the same weight its going to be a bit heavier than my current mouse which is nice.
So what it comes down to is what do you guys who own a naga or G600 like about them? Are they good in CS as well as whatever else? What do you play? How do they hold up?
Secondary to that is what is the difference in the sensors? I usually only use a low DPi but higher ones are handy. Since I know I can change the DPi, report rate, and other stuff with the logitech one what does razer offer that is equal, better, or different?
I know its a little dumb to ask some of this stuff but I play competitively in quake and want to for CS as well as league some day. Hope to hear back soon.
g600. naga felt cheaper and didnt last very long. 6 months and mine broke. im sitting on my second g600 bc i sold it for the naga. overall it fells better. i use low dpi for gaming and high for desktop. it has alot saved variations. you should care about the cable quality. i dont think you want a cable that curls, snags or breaks.
shifted buttons are great for games. i play mostly rpg's
Hi I used to own old naga and use g600 atm.Hehe Naga was ok for mmos ( warhammer online, played for a long time but it wasnt clickfest like diablo) but when i started playing diablo 3 left mouse button gave up quickly.I also used hex for a while but the glossy boddy is horrible.I use g600 now and its great so far , after I got used to extra right button .Side buttons on g600 are easier to locate and use with thumb.Great for mmos, I only tested it with aion though. I had some problems with getting used to extra button, and one of the lights under side buttons is faulty, no matter what color i use its set to a different shade hehe if that matters ,but for some people that might matter.
I know several g600 users and a couple naga users and the g600 users are happier with it.. I have tried both and I also like the g600... The extra finger button is a little strange and would take a little time to get used to, but you could turn it off if its really a problem.
The material choice and the grip is what makes the g600 superior.. the botton feel is a nice touch too
Pistol had a Naga, I wonder if she has a say in this.
Personally I am willing to crack a shot at the naga (there were like 2 or 3 G600's and 20 Naga's and I know that says something but they had sold 4 today) and from what I can tell the naga and the G600 are pretty competitive to each other. I'm willing to crack open my G700s to try and fix it in the mean time anyways and the naga is cheaper.
Still, anyone who uses a naga and doesn't like it convince me otherwise. The way I see it is if razer really is the skullcandy of peripherals then I might as well be turned off of the company myself then someone on the internet pooping at them.
You might check out the Mionix Naos 7000(or the Avior 7000 depending on what shape you like). I've been using the Naos for a while now on my home machine and love it. I have the g700s at work; for what I do there it's better. But the Naos tracks better and smoother, I would buy another one tomorrow if it broke.
Lol well my problem is the only place in the city I can get a mouse is best buy and the G600 and Naga are on sale. I would buy online buy I don;t have a way to purchase items online, pluse the naga is on sale for 40 bucks and the G6 is on sale for 48.
i stay away from razer for main usage now. ive had horrible luck with their keyboards, headphones/sets, and mice. from personal exp. Logitech makes good stuff all around at a good price, some times without the flair.
If I would use these MMO mouses, I'd get Corsair Scimitar simply because that design isint slapped over the same PCB layout as in everything else. This is the original reason why I knew before hand that M65 is going to be perfect for me, and I'm going to explain why.
All mouses ever since Razer started to make these things and what Steelseries got also into have just been breaking so that the clickers start to double-triple click. So, I decided that if the mouse even seems similar shape, I just wont fucking buy it, no. So as I saw Corsair showing these aluminium mouses with huge wheel I knew right away that its not going to have exactly the same PCB inside as the other mice.
Bought it, no regrets. Its still working like new one and I'd argue that it wont break if I take hammer and hit this thing few times. It is fucking indestructable, perfect gaming mouse. 8/8 :D
