New independent Linux magazine plans to give 50% of profits back to the community

Three of the former writers for the world popular Linux Format magazine (a magazine that was notably taken off the shelves of some US retailers after printing the cover articles "Beat the CIA" and "Learn to hack") have handed in their notices and are trying to start a new independent (from any publishing house) magazine called Linux Voice.

Two key features will be that 50% of the profits generated will be given back to the Linux and free software communities, and they will publish their content for free after 9 months.

At the time of writing they have nearly raised half of their £90,000 goal on Indiegogo.
