For music, need of eq, best audio for music imo is pioneer HDJ-X5. 200 bucks, quality construction, they handle anything audio wise, the only complaint I’ve gotten is they aren’t popular in hype land.
I look for actual quality, not just hype.
Can confirm. Have both. The 650 has larger and deeper earcups, but if you don’t have elefant ears like me, both are awesome.
The 650 is more laid back and easier to listen to for hours on end. They Beyer is more engaging and “fun”. I gave the Beyer to my wife and kept the Sennheiser.
Also, look used for HD600’s. They can be had for significantly less then use, most owners took good care of them and replacement parts are cheap and readily available. I got mine for half what they where new.
Audeze LCD-2 if budget allows or HiFiMAN planars as budget allows.
Definitely try out in person with your own music before pulling the trigger.
