why
it's far superior. also, many games do not support sli/cfx and will only use 1 gpu...
i think first price, then the issue os performance scale chart of multi gpu....
nvidia cards eat up more juice, especially in sli.
You say that many games dont support sli but as i can see on nvidia site (http://www.geforce.com/games-applications/sli) pretty much all newer games support sli and those that don't wont even use all the power in one gpu. And when i look at different benchmarks example 2 660 gtx ti vs 1 680 gtx,. Then the 2 gtx 660 beat the 680 with 30 fps or more then one single 680 can produce. And the price for 2 gtx 660 ti is lower then 2 gtx 670/680 or 2 radeon 7970.
*facepalm* OF COURSE NVIDIA WOULD SAY EVERYTHINGS COMPATIBLE, IT'S THEIR PRODUCTS!!!!
a single 7970 oc will draw less power, and give you far better frames than a 660ti sli.
