So, I have a Hp Pavillion p7-1007c desktop computer and i wanted to know if a GeForce 8400 would be compatible with the spacing and my motherboard. Don't know much about computers/GPU's, so if you could reccomend a better one for about <$60 it would be much appreciated. Motherboard - N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX (Alvorix). Sorry this is my first post on here. I would enjoy any help I could receive on the matter. Oh and power supply is Internal 250W (100-240V)
Assuming it's for gaming, it basically isn't worth it to buy any graphics card that costs less than $100. The price/performance is utterly awful.

Spacing? As in PCI-e lanes? Or room inside the case? A GeForce 8400 like this one should fit in your case since they all only take up 1 PCI-e lane, and only 2/3rds the height of the PCI-e I/O. It doesn't even require a power supply to run.

You could get the radeon 250 on amazon for sale down to $65 and from what I've seen from benchmarks it seems much better than the 8400. But another thing when looking for a new graphics card is your power supply, do you know how many watts yours is?
Yeah that sounds a lot better. i had been looking at the wrong one. power supply is 250w
EDIT/UPDATE: Thinking of new card: XFX R7 250. Anyone know if that would fit in the case or if i would have to look and see? Case dimensions are: Height: 38.81 cm (15.28 inches) Width: 17.50 cm (6.89 inches) Length: 40.99 cm (16.14 inches). Also would like to know if the plugs/slots are compatible.
