Hi guys on the Tek Syndicate forums!
I'm looking to upgrade from my old GTX 560 to either a GTX 670 or a 7970. I have a 700W Silver rated PSU and an i5 3570K, in addition to an ASRock Z77 Extreme4, so I know I can house the card, however I just don't know which one to go for! If this gets replied to by anyone.
Thanks!
the 7970 is the better card over the similarly priced 670. so between the two, get the 7970, But what is your budget? can you really spare that cash?

and if you get the 7970 you can mine the hell out of it in our pool.
7970!!!!!!!!! all the way!!
A 7970 is just a good as a 680 in some/most examples you will be purchasing a top quality card and it shall be future proof.
The PSU shouldn't be a problem. But to be safe (If you're planning to OC A LOT) you should bump it up to a 800W+
otherwise it shouldn't cause any issues
Get the 7970, it is the better card of the 2. Your psu is more than adequate.
Your PSU is fine, get the 7870 unless the games you play are Physx games.
7970! Go for the GHz edition, they're generally faster than stock 7970's, though also more expensive, but they're beast!
It really depends on what games you're playing. Some games like Battlefield 3 favor the 670 over the 7970, whereas other games like Metro 2033 favor the 7970. Overall, the 7970 is a tiny bit faster than the 670, but the 670 does run quieter and cooler, and will scale nicer in SLI if you plan on doing that. Overall, you really can't go wrong with either.

Hey everyone, I'm playing games like Crysis 3 (alot - DerpaHerpaLurpa - Crysis 3 Stats), BF3, and I plan on playing the new Metro (2033 was awesome) and Bioshock Infinite! Thanks for the responses, I think I'll be going for the 7970, but if there are any more suggestions, I gladly welcome them!
Haha, I'm fine eating, but it's actually my birthday and I have accumulated some money (£210 on the first day isn't bad!) and I have decided it is my GPU that is limiting me. Therefore I thought why not upgrade? I know that there is some more money on the way, and I'll be heading to Scan to purchase this beast! Plus I can sell my old computer parts, my old Xbox, and my 560 when I'm done, so that will make up the difference if they cost about £300-£400 in the U.K.
