New GPU issues?

I just built a gaming computer with an Gigabyte Radeon R9 290X 4GB WINDFORCE GPU, here is the complete build so far. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Mdbig3/saved/#view=XxQPxr

i haven't put any extra fans in yet so the case still only has one fan.

The GPU gets up to 76-77 when playing GW2, I know that is not super hot but i am seeing some lines and colored panes in game at times. if i close out of the game it fixes it for awhile but it is still annoying.

Does this sound like a GPU going out, Over heating, Bad drivers or something else? It is in warranty still so i can still get it swapped.

I am running dual screens and had a problem where a lot of my mouse buttons would stop working and i could move my mouse to the other screen, But i couldn't click anywhere. after putting the game in windowed border-less mode that problem seems to be fixed.

Also i sadly don't have the big hard drive now as it failed soon after the build and i am still waiting for the RMA to finish, But that is not part of the problem.

So what kind of temps are you getting "out of game?" (like at GPU idle state) GW2 drives the GPU pretty hard if you have the settings turned up, but mention of the "color panes" sounds like a card problem, I'd guess you DL'd the newest drivers and installed when you built the PC? and the mention of one fan has me wondering about your CPU temps, I see you have a good cooler on the CPU do you have any idea what your "in case" temps are?

I had similar mouse issues with GW2 back when you could watch world events timers on other web sites on one screen and play on another, but mine was solved by a GW2 update a few weeks after the problem started, maybe my previous update was slightly corrupt.

Reinstall the most recent drivers? If that doesn't work than I'd get it RMA'd asap. There isn't much point in trying to fix a dead card for a couple of weeks

Send the card back if its artifacting.
And on anuther note Raidmax psu's are trash i'd send that back and buy something semi decent anless you like housefires.

Thanks i'll try the new drivers, If that doesn't fix it i'll send it back...I hate to have a dead PC for awhile though, But still better then having it die later.

I've never heard that Raidmax was bad, is there a way to see if it is bad, Or does it just die?

Huh, I have a diablotek in my server and before that it was my gamming machine from '12, been running fine even been running 24/7 for the past idk year and a half. and its listed as dont fuckn buy this shit.

diablotek is garbage the only reason its probably still going is because servers are low powqer and hasent stressed the unit at all.
Diablotek use the cheapest component's you can find and have dubious business practices.
Its like buying no-brand coke

Well the usage is true, it just runs a small minecraft server so i doubt it is even drawing 100watts. I only use XFX now and they are in tier one. YAY! lol

Before it was my server it was a gaming rig with a GTX 570 being that its a 775wat power supply even that didn't really stress it much.

XFX use a rebrand of a seasonic unit thay are very good units

Well that sucks...I'll look into getting anther PSU as well, Thanks for the heads up.

I'm not sure what the temps are in the case, but the CPU, RAM and mother board all look good. I am still going to get more fans though.
