I recently installed my 7970 after not having a graphics card and using integrated graphics that did not run directx 11 at all. I've run into a problem when playing games that run on direct x11. The game will crash after about 10ish minutes of game time (not the same time every time), due to direct x errors (Error names vary between games). I found a solution onlien that involves reinstalling windows and was wondering if there was any other way to fix this error? Any help Would be Appreciated, so thanks in advance.
Try re-installing directx runtime package https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 and see if that helps.

Also what are the rest of your specs? If a gpu (your 7970) is slightly underpowered all sorts of weird shit can happen.
