New GPU causing my pc to restart

Hey everyone,

My new GPU is making my pc restart randomly after a I reach the desktop. I have tried just about everything I can think of as well as what others have suggested, I have issued an RMA and they said nothing was wrong with the card. I'm clueless! this is my first high end GPU, it's upsetting and frustrating that its doing this, its been happening for the last 9 days.

my old GPU has been working fine and it still is (750ti)

full system specs:

AMD FX-4130

R9 290 from XFX Double Dissapation

ASROCK 980DE3/U3S3

8GB HyperX Fury @1866

TP-Link TL-WN781ND

1TB and 500GB seagate barracuda

Silverstone strider plus 750w 80+ silver

How old is your power supply? Does it normally happen when you're playing games or something system intensive, also did you look at crash logs?

What have you tried that you can think of and has been suggested by others? I don't want to waste my keyboard.

I have tried setting my motherboard to defults, updating bois to the latest version, reinstalling windows, reinstalling the drivers without installing all the extras and for saving time I have created a restore point without any drivers (I think it's driver related)

My power supply got purchased from the same retailer on the same day as my GPU so 9 days out of the box and it works fine with my 750ti

will look into the crash logs and possibly post minidumps
