New Gaming PC

I am ordering a new computer from Cyberpowerpc soon and was wondering what you guys thought about the parts I picked out. I know Cyberpowerpc overcharges and isnt the best but I am too lazy to build another computer. My budget will be around 900-1,200 dollars and I am going to be using the computer for gaming. Please let me know if any of the parts you see on this list really dont give too much performance for the dollar.  All parts need to be from the Cyberpowerpc website.  Any tips/ideas for this build would be greatly appreciated.

  • CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-3570K 3.40 GHz 6MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1155
  • HDD: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 32MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (
  • MEMORY: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1866MHz Dual Channel Memory (Corsair XMS)
  • MOTHERBOARD: [CrossFireX] ASUS P8Z77-V LX Intel Z77 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ IRST, Lucid Virtu MVP, 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, 2x PCIe x16 (1 Gen3, 1 Gen2), 2x PCIe x1 & 3 PCI
  • SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO
  • VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card [+207] (EVGA Superclocked)

Im not sure if the gtx 660 ti is worth the money. Are there any comparable video cards that arent as expensive?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

The Radeon HD 7870 and 7950 would both be pretty comparable if you want to check them out.

Looks like a good build so far. Are you thinking of getting an SSD though?
