As many of you that live in the Western US know, it's getting pretty hot. And the massive heat-generating tower computer you have isn't helping the fact. Sure, windows can be opened but that only goes so far.
There has to be another option.
We shouldn't have to go buy a desktop fan or expensive ice packs. I was sitting here, boiling in my own sweat when I looked over and saw it. Salvation, my friends. I saw the thing that would prevent heat exhaustion and save me from death. The very fans that keep your computer from turning into a metal box filled with lava.
Case fans.
I have several of these laying around, shunned out of my computer by upgraded fans. "You will not be forgotten, abandoned ones." I took off the side panel of my Define R4, saw the front fan controller I had never used, and hooked a fan into it.
Redemption.
Glorious cool air whipped through my sweaty clumped-up hair strands and breathed life into me again. This day, I won. But it can only get better from here. This is just a 3-pin fan, ladies and gentlemen, but what about an old PWM fan? You could rig several up, attach a few suction cup mounts to them and some fan grills, and rule the world with your controllable desktop fans.
