So I want to move the default snapshots folder to my HDD instead of the boot SSD.(Need all the space I can get on this 240GB ssd). I know how to change it for each virtual machine manually, but how would I go about making this the default location for future VMs?

if your on *nix, the just use the command ln -s
When I open VBox, I can click the file tab > preferences > default machine folder and adjust it from there. You can also select the folder a machine is created in from the second page of the 'create virtual machine' wizard.
Doesn't that change where the virtual disk is stored too, cause I only want to move the snapshots.
Sorry, my mistake. It appears they are made under the folder where the VM is made, so I'm guessing it would be a bit more complicated to figure out how it works to make it do that by default. I'm guessing it would be easier to just do it manually for each unless you are making hundreds of them.
