I need help. My computer exploded. I lost everything except for my HDD. So any suggestions on what I should buy if I want a gaming/rendering comp. Thanks.
Adventureher0... we meet again.
It litterally exploded?
Well it caught it on fire first so I saved the HDD as thats the only thing that is precious to me then it went BOOM!
Yeah... Did it "explode" or did It just poop? Haha
If it exploded before getting a new computer I would get a lawyer...
*Edit* How did it catch on fire? Was it user error is it the manufactuers fault? What caught on fire?
I think the ASUS motherboard started it. Or it was the wires from the 850 watt power supply. It didn't explode like a bomb but it was making poping noises and then a boom sound came after that.

Just like Carlton I would too like to know wtf happened to your computer.
Odd. If you don't mind posting your specs and what your were doing on your computer at the time.
Are there any signs of physical signs of damage to any of the parts? Burn marks, chips, etc etc? Any thing could help since this could be simple user error or somthing ASUS or your PSU manufactuer should know about. If you heard popping I'm assuming it was the PSU.
Motherboard ASUS Intel p5n-D Duel Core
2 x 2gb ram sticks
GeForce 9800 GTX +
850 watt Power Supply
I dont remember what the cpu was. There are burn marks on the mother board and the power supply is melted a little.
It ran Windows 7 Ultimate.
I was on 4chan, and youtube, and on steam. The usual.
Sounds like a bad PSU to me. Sometimes the entire computer can go if the PSU fucks up.
What's your budget?
and where do you live, like what country, might take a bit for me to make a build if you don't live in the US or canada
I want pics of this burn mobo and melted psu.
He lives in US; specifically NJ. Fuckin' Newegg tax...
Yeah. You usally don't see these things...
Well I was looking for something under 800$ but the 1200$ works fine. A question about that setup. Can I get 4 8GB ram sticks for it?
Sorry guys for double post. The case for 1200$ is deactivated. Will the Define R4 Arctic White replace it?
I'll make you an up to date 800 and 1200 list for you
I'm fixing to go to bed but on the 1200 one you could have that 6GB 7970 saphire has if it was in stock
