Hey so I built a new pc a while back and was having a great time and everything was working 100% from the start. But after a while I was on the desktop when the screen went blue and had a bunch of words something like "your computer has stopped working if this was the first time it has happened try this is not read the following...." I get that far in my reading and my computer restarts. The first time it has happened I really didnt think about it much. But it just happned to me today again. I turned my pc on and went away for a while. When I came back I moved my mouse for the screen to turn on and that blue screen with all the text was up again. I know its not a temp problem casue the pc stays nice and frosty fro mthe H80i and everything else I have. The only thing I can think of is OCing. The graphics card came OC and have had no problems gaming. But I do have a Asus MA599X mobo for my fx-8250 and it has a auto OC botten that puts it to 4.35. So I'm not sure what this means and what has casued it. Both instances where about a month apart. So if anyone can help that would be great!

Use this http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html to see what the bluescreen error was then post it here
I think the one I got is the one that shows on that link. Looks the same.
Seems like you processor doesnt like the OC at times if what youre saying is you bought the mobo with a OC on it already. Reset the OC or try volting it up or down. First thing i would do tho is prime95 stress test.
Well what I meant was that the Asus mobo has an auto oc button that you can click. I'll have to maybe fiddle around with it to see what happens.
Ok i misunderstood that. your 1st post said "botten" so i thought you meant you bought it with a OC on it already. My bad. So then that means you have the cpu and gpu at stock speeds?
No. The GPU was the xfx 7970 black edition, so it came OC. The CPU the fx-8350 came at 4.0 and with the mobo that has a button in the bios to auto OC it, when you click that auto OC in the bios it puts it to 4.35. I hope that is clearer for you.
That is clear for me. What are the full specs of the pc?
My suggestion is get rid of that auto o.c c**p lol, heres a manual oc guide: http://rog.asus.com/216552013/crosshair-v-motherboards/guide-overclocking-fx-8350-to-4-8ghz-on-crosshair-v-formula-z/2/
Consider 1.5v as your max voltage (depending on temps) you should be able to pull 4.6ghz easily. Out of interest what psu are you running.
Full specs are cpu:fx-8350 mobo: Asus m5a99x evo 2.0 ram:g. Skill ripjaws 8gb cpu cooler is h80i gpu:xfx 7970 double d black edition. Psu:antec extreme gamer 620w. I think I'll try to turn of the auto oc and do it myself.
Yea your card uses 350W at full load http://www.maximumpc.com/article/[primary-term]/xfx_radeon_hd_7970_black_edition_review#slide-1 and the CPU at stock speeds would use around 180W so you would be cutting it close with an overclock on the cpu. Your power cupply +12V rail max output is 576W. You're either going to have to run it with no overclock or get a bigger power supply.
