New Build (Want to make sure I am getting the right stuff)

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here and perhaps people can link me to appropriate locations or are able to help me here.  I have been building cheapo computers since I was about 16 (I am currently 26).  This is the first personal build though.  I am looking to build a PC that is functional for gaming and possibly for other business reasons (minor programming, document work, payroll, etc, etc).  I have a general idea of what I would like to have in the PC, most from personal experience but I want MORE opinions and facts to help make sure that my money is justified on what I am buying.

I will list the part and then a link to the newegg website.

~~~  Preferences  ~~~
I am partial to Asus, G.Skill, Nvidia, and Intel.  They have all proven their worth and from the things I have read and seen, may cost a bit more then competitors but have the meat to back it.
I am hoping to make this a Water cooled build but i want to make sure that everything I am getting for it is great if not the best I can get.  I have minimal experience and knowledge into the liquid cooling aspect so the more knowledge I can gather, the better.
The only thing I have set in stone is the case.  I am open to hearing about other cases but if they don't really shine or stand out, I will stick with the one I am currently after which is the Phantek Enthoo Primo.
~~~ Finishing Thoughts ~~~

Most of the items on the list are not set in stone and my opinion can be swayed.  I would just like to see what the community thinks and other options.  I know there is a lot out there and a lot of a build is personal preference but I would like to see what other think and if there are any other better options, why they are better options, what on my list isn't a good option, etc, etc.  As far as the liquid cooling goes, I have no preferences and no idea which items perform better then others.  Though aesthetics are important to me, I still prefer FUNCTION over form.  Hopefully you all can help me in this endeavor and help me in making the right choices.  Once I do finally buy all the pieces and the like, I will post build pics and running specs!

Thank you all for taking time to read this and assist me in part selection for my build!

Looking to keep it under 3K with all the fixings.  (monitors, keyboard, mouse, etc, etc)

I believe the case has blue lighting.  Keep that in mind as this build is mostly red and black.

Also look into a cooler.  I don't quite remember what the enthoo primo supports, but it's a big case.

Yea.  As far as cooling goes, I want to do liquid cooling and I need more info as to what parts I will need.

A simple H100i should work just fine.
