New Build Speculation and Comments Thread

Thought of this just now.

If you need some eyes on a build you put together a list for and want to hear bad or good about it, throw it in here.

Like the roast thread but for PCPartPicker lists.

The only good reason for the ArcticSilver would be overclocking, and I seriously hope you are not doing that in ITX…
The single 16gig stick RAM is not helping.

Edit: Oh boy, that sounded worse than I wanted… sorry.

Its just what I’ve used for years. No problems with it. Is there something better?

It’ll eventually bet 2 sticks. Just not immediately.

Then I have said nothing.

Probably, but not for <7 bucks.

I guess the Noctua fan will replace the one on the water cooler?

The scythe fan replaces the water cooler fan, the noctua fan replaces the one in the front. I NEVER keep stock intake fans. Its my rule of thumb.

Tho I might do a 240mm cooler but I’m unsure of the thickness, in which case it’ll be 2 scythe fans.

I do, as spares in case some friend realises their case choice was shit and needs more air movement.

Are you set on the case? The area arround the fan in the front strikes me as odd:

Might want to close the gaps when using 120 or 140mm fans in order to prevent air circulating on itself.

Thats why the high intakee fan rather than the stock one. I can otherwise mod the front plate.

Again, high airflow fans for a reason.

From reviews it seems fine so I’ll assume as much.
