New build questions (concerning used HDD and such)

Im gonna start off by saying that im not the most educated person when it comes to this sort of thing, but here goes. So my friend and I are planning a new build, and we want to use as little money as possible, obviously. Is it possible to use his old HDD (which has intel GPU drivers on it) for a new build (which is going to use a GTX760). Would I have to delete the current drivers to install the new ones? What sort of complications might there be, along with their solutions? Using his old HDD would be really helpful, as it would save us the money that one would normally spend on an HDD and OS. (Also, the OS is win7)

Thanks for taking the time to read.

You should do a clean install when taking a HDD and putting it in a new machine. You can reuse the windows activation key for the install. If you are adding a GPU to the existing machine just install the Nvidia drivers. If you ever buy another drive though never buy used drives.

Well, the problem is that we have no windows disk. Even if we had an extra clean HDD(which we dont, nor do we want to buy a new one) to put into the new machine, we wouldnt be able to even install windows, which is why I asked if there was a way to do this with my current HDD. Thought this was implied, sorry.
