says the guy who rolls with a dual core and didn't (or still doesn't) have SLI in his comp? looooool

Duuuude, my dual core > q6600

I plan on buying aother 9800gtx in the nearest future so.. :) (I just need a small amount of money....)

I will pwn all your GTX 2xx and 48xx out there!

so is the Q6600 good or do I go for Q9400? Also I'm looking at a GTX285, is that overkill?

if you get a gtx285, keep it for at least 3 years. if you get rid of it after 1 year your a fucktard

q6600 is good.

I'm gonna wait for DX11

If this PC is for gaming keep the CPU you have now.

I would recommend a different case because even though the antec 900 is very nice there are some bad things about it, one being cable management. I would go with a case with some cable management holes because it really does help airlfow and makes your computer look alot cleaner, everything else looks good though, however I would go Nvidia for the GPU but thats just me

I'm gonna get a 9800GT, it's from XFX, it's $130, free shipping, and comes with COD4. I'll use that until the end of the year.

i ahve the 9800gt right now but evga and its an awesome card holding me out till Direct X 11 or whatever

Ah 9800GT is good, you wont need any better at that resolution.

9800 GT on a P35?

Aren't the P35's CF only..?

Anyways I would go for a Q6600, it still overclocks really really good.

The Q9400 probably does better because it's 45nm but still you can get a Q6600 to 3.6 GHz on air with a good cooler or higher, who needs higher than that? Water cooling too would be a nice future upgrade if you plan to go crazy OC'ing.

hmm u should consider a better cooler. like the sunbeam core contact. its like 15-30bucks cheaper, better performing, and alot smaller.

He never said he would do SLi...

Fuck the q6600, get an E8000 series Core 2 Duo, you get better frames with them in most games and you can overclock them like a motherfucker, they are 45nm, and don't overheat easily. Also if you can get a 9800 GT like most said, good performance and price. I would only tell you to get a quad if it were a Phenom, or i7, Core 2 Quads are basically 4 cores on 2 pipelines. You are pretty much buying a bottle necked processor. Core 2 Quads only help you when using alot of applications, better off having 2 cores with their own dedicated pipelines focusing on your games, thats why u average out better FPS. On the other hand Core 2 Quads are better in games like Crysis with an extremely smart AI.

Still man, why have a P35 then?
