I haven’t met any of those issues. My doors have latches, and I removed all the drive cages.
-
Leftover drivers from my previous machine. Running setup.exe from the ISO solves most of those problems (also had to disconnect external USB4 drives before Setup).
Also, my recovery partition was improperly migrated from my previous machine, I had to manually re-create it.
I had to upgrade to 25H2 for real recently, since support for 23H2 has ended.
Surprisingly, I didn’t observe the same performance penalty compared with 23H2 as with my first attempt. Latency in Aida64 went up a couple ns, but not as much as previously, and the benchmarks are the same.
- Intake. I ended up adding 2x40mm 15000 RPM fans (on the Asus motherboard brackets), and the upper RAM was the hottest, so I replaced the vertical 2x140mm with 2x140mm horizontal (Fractal Design Momentum, which are the best across a grid, and are completely silent). Therefore, I removed the bottom fan support I added and only kept the top one.
FYI, the latest ZenTimings beta works with Shimada Peak.
CoreTemp as well, but the numbers are buggy under load.
