im mainly looking at an i5 processor and have a case ready - the build is to be used for average gaming and video edditing, and a £100 graphics card can be added at a later time. but could you give me some ideas as to what i could use in a decent build. i understand that the budget is low but its from my dads money as im only 15 adn is part of my Duke of Endinbrough experiance :P

You had a case you said, perhaps you got a harddrive too? If so get a SSD for your OS and editing software, like this 120 GB Kingston HyperX: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-026-KS&groupid=1657&catid=2101&subcat= for 80£ so reuse your old drive as storage together with this SSD.
If you don't have an old HDD you can just get a mechanical 500GB now, like this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-364-WD and get the SSD later, or maybe you can even expand the budget slightly to fit them both.
This would be a great computer for the price and suit your needs well.
What size is the case? mini itx? normal itx?
I need this so I know what size mobo to pick.
