New Build For 3D Modelling / Gaming

Thanks for telling me that, seriously. I dont want to short out a £555 GPU. I'm going to install the 780 ti one slot down that will give good clearance, I don't intend to SLi. I just need additional room for a Wifi Card.

I'm tempted to wait for Noctua to release those black fans, I'm not sure how long that would be. I don't mind the 70's colour theme but it want match anything in the build. Unless I somehow create a Retro Future computer from Alien.... :) The Assassin Cpu cooler could be an alternative.

Look at Phanteks, Be Quiet, or Enermax coolers if you don't like Noctua's color scheme... same quality... all of them are basically silent... I use an Enermax CPU cooler in my home build... just realize that an air cooler consists of two parts... a big heatsink, and a fan or two to blow the hot air off the heatsink... it's not complicated, all you want is silent fans and solid heatsink construction... I don't see how Noctua is any better quality than any of the other above mentioned brands... silent fan, quality heatsink construction... except Phanteks, Be Quiet, and Enermax doesn't look like it came out of a 70's Porno

Ha ha, thanks DrunkenPanda...the noctuas also look like a Famicon!  The Phanteks PH-TC14PE looks great in red, black or blue.I like the ridges on the fin to counter turbulence.

is there anyway you could upload some more Pictures of how it looks like, what the fitting is between the NH D15 cooler and the sidepanel? im thinking of buying this case with this cooler but i dont want to buy anything and then find out that it doesn't fit. :S

I've been searching around for Pictures and videos of builds that has this cooler combined with this case, but the truth is that there are really no one doing this build with those 2 Components combined! I read what you wrote about that it did fit, but i just want to be completely sure of that it actually does fit, the picure you uploaded is actually not that clear too be honest :D please, if there is anyway you could upload some more photos around this cooler and sidepanel on, how much space is there between them, do they actually touch or not, stuff like that, be sure to stand still when taking the Picture though! ;)

THANK YOU!

I think the massive Noctuas will fit fine with the side panel shutting fine

It's inline with the Graphics Card, no?

This is something interesting, please share your models so that we can also contribute to it in someway..

EDIT .... if you want 32GB of ram it will be very expensive to buy such fast ram ... drop down to 8X4GB @ 2400Mhz

To come closer to budget and have 32GB of 2400Mhz RAM that will run @2400 native you need 4 sets of this .......

If you can find a pair of GTX 690s ...they render better than 780Ti s  .... ask Wendell. He swears by them.

Plus there is a mod you can do to them to trick them into posting as both a big Quadro and a fast gamer at the same time. ... saw the video scared the hell out of me though.
