I have a 500gb hdd that ill be reformatting and reusing.

only issue i see is the Gigabyte UD5, and still thats mostly preference but an ASrock extreme4 or Biostar TA990FXE would be better

I'm all eyes. Please tell me about these motherboards and why you prefer them.

What about going with ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX. Asus makes some pretty amazing parts.

I had an asus picked out when i was thinking about the I5. So i picked another board similar in price. The sabertooth was just a few more dollars than i can spend. I'm already past the outer limits of what told my wife i would be doing.  Actually on second glance i might be able to swing it. Why do you prefer this board?

the reason i reccomend Biostar Ta990FXE and ASRock Extreme 4 is that the TA990FXE is the best overclocking 990FX board availiable, and the ASRock Extreme 4 is also known to be a great board for those that dont like biostar
