Why do you want 3.0? ATM any video card you buy would give the same performance in a 2.0, unless you are going to be useing three or more video cards you wont see a real difference.
well i don't know about newegg but i know of 2 fx990 asus boards that do, but the sabertooth does'nt but it will have the pci.e 3.0 patch, saying that there is more mobo manufacturers than just asus. im not worried about where to buy, i just want to find a board that will meet the specifics, also i live in the uk so newegg is out of the question
Incorrect, spooky. The MSI 970A-G46 supports 2133 memory. You just have to set it in the bios. As far as the PCI 3.0, it doesn't have that. It does meet two of your specifications, though. Just my two cents. However, the memory controller on AMD FX series processors only supports ram speeds up to 1866.
High RAM speed and PCI-e 3.0 are moot in comparison to buying a bigger GPU. Cards today and even next gen wont be bottlenecked by PCI-e 2.x so dont be worrying about it. When actually playing a game the GPU doesnt saturate the PCI-e lane as much nor even the same way as a synthetic benchmarks tends to inflect or emphasize. Thats what they are; synthetic. I'm not going to knock on buying high speed ram because thats actually a tangible performance gain that you can measure for little. But seriously; if you're rocking an AMD build you shouldnt be worrying about frivilous shit like PCI-e 3.0 and just throw more GPU at the problem like the rest of us do.
ok people just too clear things up a little a pci. 3 slot can be used for more than just a gpu, a high end end ssd for instance, now the real top end ones will do more of a better job of saturating a pci port than any graphics card on the planet. and please not to sound too up my own arse here but i already know all of the above mentioned about the affects of a pci.3 port. on current gpu etc etc. so please just help me with what i want. cause i know why i want it.
Then if you know your stuff then you should be fully capable of performing a google search yourself to find a PCI-e 3.0 AMD board with 2100+ RAM support. Most people who post asking for motherboard help know little about the hardware itself.
maybe, just maybe. i dont want to search the internet finely with a tooth pick. cause that is what im like, i know if i start searching i will spend hours and hours and hours looking. casus i know what im looking for is a little more paticular than usual. i also know if i ask other's on a forum for example, i have increased my odds of finding what i want. it just make's sense. also going by my time on this forum so far, i would think that help is not just there for people that know little about hardware.
I have been polite about my explanations and requests and even tried to be humble about it, which make's them unwelcoming of such ridicule and diverting suggestions.
if this is the attitude most user's take and i see sufficicient evidence of this. then anyone i consider on here exeperienced enough with IT/hardware, will not be recieving my help in the future. i consider this an exetremely stuborn position to take. but normally you do not get without giving if your among equals not no exchange at all. being the oppsosit of what your comment imply's, that is my ethos. also if you are knowledgable enough and ever do so ask for help after that outburst you are equaly undiserving of council in this field on the grounds of hypocracy. i will not apease fools and hypocrits.
now this thread has gone far a stray, let's remain on topic please.
I don't believe there are any AM3+ mobos with PCIe 3.0. 2.0 will do any graphics config just fine, even future ones. And the Asus Crosshair V Formula supports up to 2400MHz memory.
Keep being pretentious like everyone on overclocking forums. It gets you nowhere pretty fast. If you keep being a prick nobody is going to help you just like right now.
And just so you're aware.
PCIe 1.0 16x = PCIe 2.0 8x = PCIe 3.0 4x
PCIE 2.0 16x = PCIe 3.0 6x
This whole PCIe thing is a bunch of people that don't know what they're talking about thinking that something that doesn't matter does matter.
seriously now fuck off out of this thread, you dont even know what pretentious means. people like you piss me off with aserting your shitty views based on your shitty assumptions like baisicly assuming i want better pci for better garphics performance. which i fucking dont, i have other things in mind. so stop being so fucking butt hurt for being dissmised in the first place and fuck off!!!
