Hi,
Does anybody know or have any idea when the Alienware 14 will be refreshed with the new GTX 800m cards like the Alienware 17 and 18 were?
Thanks!

I wouldn't buy an alienware laptop.
Look towards MSI, Gigabyte, or even Razer for a quality gaming laptop (lenovo and acer also make some nice ones).
Most of those manufacturers have already have put out their 800m lineup.
How about the MSI GS60 Ghost? I've seen good reviews however I'm worried that the build quality will lack as my experience with MSI is that they feel kinda cheap and tacky.
Thats actually a pretty good laptop. I believe Linus did a review on the MSI Ghost series of laptops and gave it a thumbs up. I know MSi has been getting a bad rep lately, but they used to put out real quality parts, and I have a few friends with MSI laptops who love them.
Would the GT60 Dominator be a better option than the Ghost? The GPU is more powerful (GTX 870m) and so is the processor, and its cheaper. However its thicker, and lacks an SSD.
Here's the links:

Which one would be better?
Thanks!
I would say go with the ghost. It will have much better battery life since the 860m is Maxwell and the 870m is Kepler. Plus the SSD will make a big difference with the OS performance since laptop hard drives are generally slower. Although if you don't care about loading times, power consumption, weight, and battery life, I suppose the GT60 would be better for you.
Alright thanks. I'll opt for the Ghost.
