New 1080p Youtube Channel

Hey guys, i started up a new gaming channel and i wanted to know how i can improve on This: audio, visual quality etc.

Audio and video quality was pretty good. How about a short 5 second intro?

Yes i have thought about this, but i have ideas for an intro but i am not good with editing :( and i cant learn now becaus ei am soo busy, have any connections to do it for me ( Free )

Not a fan of Battlefield..... but I subbed anyway.

Hey also, I plan on make a gaming channel soon.  What video recording and editing software do you use?  Maybe we can do dual coms and help each other's channels grow.  Just some Ideas...

Well for recording you can use fraps

http://www.fraps.com/

But for editing i don't know that's my problem

did you pay for fraps or torrent?

I bought it but the trial or non free verison works just as well

HOLD IT RIGHT THERE! dont use fraps! i use dxtory which is simply the best, its easy to get for free! i use sony vegas for editing

Can you give me the link to get it free?  Im not sure if i want to torrent though because this is a new computer that I built and i dont want to get a virus

It was good. If you do decide to use an intro, make it 3-4 seconds max. It's ultra annoying when you're trying to watch someone's videos and have to sit through the same 10 second intro that does nothing other than delay the content you're trying to view.

welll the free version of fraps only records 30 second clips.. Btw if you have a YT channel what is it? Ill subscribe.

know anyone who can make me one for free?

There is nothing wrong with Fraps, so it costs a little but heck the cost of Fraps is nothing compaired to Sony Vagas... I'm looking at getting a capture card for my channel. As for editing I use OpenShot from Linux.

dxtory does cot money its just better it keeps everything organized for editing, and it doesnt have as much of a frame drop

The first 25 seconds of the video are the most important so its a good idea not to fill it with a bland boilerplate intro everyone has seen before, you know what im talking about the 3d spinnig text of your channel name or what ever. No one cares about that no one is going to think wow spinning text I better subscribe and watch all of his videos for some more of that sweet spinning. No most likely they will get 5 seconds into your intro and think "wow I could be watching somthing entertaining rather than text of something i dont care" about and leave.

If you really want to do an intro what I would do is have a highlight from the video for the first 10-20 seconds like a funny or interesting clip that will really grab the viewers attention then do a short under 10 second intro or even better have the intro over game footage similar to the way I do here:

Mine isn't very fancy but you get the idea to have a title as an overlay rather than an intro.

love the idea
