Never esitmate for a psu again, psu calc tool:)

Power supply estimator. It is still in beta. That means pls report any bugs to them not me :)

Hmm, cool little tool. However, it's certainly a bit off with my system. I have crossfired HD 6950s and an overclocked 2600k, 1.65v ram, and it recommended me a 550w PSU, which I'm sure would be too low.

people tend to over rate a system what it actually needs. Also like I said it is beta pls report the bugs to them not me

Hey folks, thanks for the link!

6950s should indeed be showing a bit higher than that, more like 600-650W. I think that's a bug, I'll look into it.

Newegg's is more accurate >_>

If you're trying to run two of your system off one PSU, sure. ;)

Well I'm running an i5 760, 9800gt, 8gb ram, and the one posted here told me I need a 450w PSU? Lol

Yeah? In fact, should be fine on a good 350W. I'm surprised you even got 450W out of our app without clicking all the overclocking settings and even then it only comes up 400W.

You do not have a very power hungry computer.

thats all you need really

plus it is beta. Like I said in the first post...

the only thing is, you dont want to be pulling 85+% of your PSU's wattage.... more heat, more stress on the psu, and more of a chance that your system could peak and exceed the output wattage....

im running a 955 BE, 8gb of ram (4 sticks) two 4890's in crossfire.... im getting 550 watts normal, 660 running bitcoin 24/7.... sounds close to what i pull.... however i played it safe and got a 850 watt psu.
