Nev processor and mobo vs new video card (i swear

Like SpiteSuicide said, the P45 is gold. I'm using an EP45 DS3R from Gigabyte with my 9800 GTX+. It's a pretty great combo. Stable, OCs like a dream. etc.

Gigabyte EP45-DS3L.

Asus P5Q SE. P43 Chipset, but oh well

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131347

the asus p5q fits my needs perfectly if it wasent for that stupid plcement of the 24 pin connector i would of bought it omfg noting is perfect

i just compared asus p5q and p5q se and its the same thing the board looks exactly the same with same specs whats the diffrence?

Here are the differences the SE to P5Q. (Cons)

- Uses EPU 4, rather than 6

- Smaller heatsink for north/south bridge, giving less stabilty if overclocking

- No firewire port.

- No Q-Shield

- No Persicion Tweaker 2 OC Thing

- 6 SATA ports rather than 8

- No Dual Channel Support for DDR2-1200

Theres probably more, im too lazy

Other than one being P45 and P43, and what 21DD23 said? Uh...nothing much =P

so i should not go with p45 is 21DD23 stating the cons for the se or the regular?

p45> p43 or vice versa?

for the price of the regular u can get a P5Q PRO, two pci e slots can go crossfire

u noe sargent why dont u get a 750i normal. thats like 135 i think

here it is actually only 130, u'll be alot better off with this n a 9800gt

the 750i looks really good right now

ya, get than rather than a p5q, plus its evga best company ever, best tech support & cus service

alright that with a q6600 and down the road go with 9800gt or a gtx looking good thanks 21DD23

np

Yeah dude. That looks like a great board. Get it, bench it, and tell me how it is. I might use it for a second build in the future. Or my friend's build.

so 750i but isnt the bios like on enthusiast level with all these crazy options and complicated stuff lol

Its still has the basics, and its not as compilcated as the FTW edition. that one has alot of extra bios features

awesome so 750i with a q6600 = awesome performance and will keep my 2 gb of 677 mhz for now until i upgrade to 4 gb and leave my 8600 gt and upgrade to 9800 gtx later on

you can get some XMS2 for like a ridiculously cheap price now, You would also get some REAL performance after adding that and a 9800gtx

looks like youre on the way to a VERY decent build ;D

yea but when core i7 comes out im going to be like every one has core i7 lol might upgrade from a q6600 though
