Network card (nic) not working

So, this has been going on for a while, but i can't get a hardwire connection from my pc to modem, idk why, the ethernet port just doesn't work, it doesn't show that i have a driver out of date, or anything about it, or even show that it ever existed, i have  tried to get the driver for it but it doesn't work, it won't let me install it, i'm not sure what to do and this wifi crap is pissing me off, anyone know of a solution, if not, well, i guess i'll have to go buy a network card, but i rather not.

is the onboard lan enabled in bios?

omg, i think you are right, allow me to check real quick, i remember fiddling with settings onthere to get 3 monitors to work, and since then it has been acting up, brb with my findings

 

edit: nah, nothing was disabled, i even went to the second bios, and it still didn't work :L

i guess i'll just go buy a pci card for it
