IIRC Discord uses a websocket to maintain connection, and 2.4 has high latency and interference, so its probably getting downgraded.
Discord appears to be too resource intensive for you. I would suggest using better wifi, or avoiding it on wifi and use ethernet.

I had a somewhat similar situation happen to me but it wasnāt discord (discord didnāt exist yet). I burned out the radio with airodump-ng + mdk3. It would work fine intially but when you put any real load on it, it would shit the bed until you plugged it in again.
I would suggest a new radio. If Iām wrong it only serves to provide a little troubleshooting.
