NETGEAR A6210 slows to a crawl as time passes

not a problem

Tried using default windows drivers? instead of manufacturer one?

It is still happening

no

IIRC Discord uses a websocket to maintain connection, and 2.4 has high latency and interference, so its probably getting downgraded.

Discord appears to be too resource intensive for you. I would suggest using better wifi, or avoiding it on wifi and use ethernet.

Ethernet isnā€™t an option :slightly_frowning_face:

Iā€™ll try to diagnose why my APs 5gz is malfunctioning

Ahh thatā€™s unfortunate. Good luck mate.

I had a somewhat similar situation happen to me but it wasnā€™t discord (discord didnā€™t exist yet). I burned out the radio with airodump-ng + mdk3. It would work fine intially but when you put any real load on it, it would shit the bed until you plugged it in again.

I would suggest a new radio. If Iā€™m wrong it only serves to provide a little troubleshooting.

Update to this thread:

After never solving this issue I may have found a cause in an amazon review as I was looking for a replacement

Over heating? I can fix that.

scrap industrial aluminum heatsink from my first job+tape+fan?

will update if I get an improvement
