Netflix Throttling On Consoles

Logan talks a lot about companies like Comcast throttling websites like Netflix, and he recommends getting VPN. The problem is that my dad watches Netflix on our Wii, and he says that he is experiencing throttling issues. My question is this: is there any way to protect the Wii with a VPN.

Logan if you're reading this, could you make a video explaining how to do this thing.

Thanks

You can set up your router to put all traffic through the vpn. How exactly to go about doing that, I don't know. I've never wanted to do it myself, but it is possible (though maybe not on all hardware). Look into that.

If you set up vpn on your router then everyone on your network will go through the vpn. So if someone wants to do any online gaming, good luck with your ping times.

But if you wanted, check your router settings to see if it supports vpn's out of the box, if not, you can look at DD-WRT which supports VPN's.

You may be able to hook up another router and install the vpn on that and have game console connected to that for netflix and other devices connected to the non-vpn router......

but that would be a dirty way of doing it and you may run into NAT problems.

just throwing out ideas
