Netflix on Ubuntu?

Can I watch netflix on Linux if so I'm going back to linux

That looks like great news haha. When I tried netflix a year or two ago I had to do a work around by installing the windows version of firefox through wine and playback wasn't great. In the past the problem was that netflix used microsoft silverlite.

Yeah, Netflix is rolling out HTML5.  Hopefully it'll go live on all platforms soon.

I have it running on Arch with Chrome 38 without any extra plugins. Chrome version 38 is the only version with which I managed to get Netflix running w/o requiring any other extra components (eg. pipelight).

Install Chrome 38, install a chrome plugin that can spoof your user agent (User-Agent Switcher
for Chrome works just fine).

Create a new user agent with the below string:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/37.0.2049.0 Safari/537.36

When on Netflix.com, make sure to use that new user agent you created and Netflix should run as smooth as butter.

I can confirm I have Netflix running on chrome with no hacks or plugins.

There is a netflix desktop app. You have to add the repo and install it and you're done.
