Not sure where to post this so posting it here, sorry if it's already been posted.
Apparently Netflix is about to get more expensive but only for new customers, at first. I understand and don't at the same time. On one hand they are making more money then ever and on the other they are having to pay Comcast and eventually other ISP's to get faster access to people. It's only $1-2 bucks apparently but still not sure how i feel about it.
It's only a natural evolution of their business model. On the other hand I'm not a customer. ;-)
So buying legal content from Netflix means you have to pay protection money to the ISP. (Albeit indirectly) I'm pretty sure that a mafia protection racket is illegal, so you might as well just torrent movies from yifi
:( We can't even get Netflix where I live, have to resort to other streaming sites... that are not... the full pork and beans know what im sayin?
Wish we had Netflix though... really do. Totally unfair :( I'd pay any price hike if they just hurried up and got it in NZ.
To be honest, Netflix will do what it wants. It is still cheaper than cable therefore it has more power over its users. Sadly we just have to sit here and accept it because Netflix is the all powerful source of ****LEGAL**** Media.... of course there are better sources but you know (;
I read about this according to the article I read it's only going to apply to new customers. I'm curious to see how long that will last.
