Netbook RAM Change

Hey guys im looking forward to buying this netbook

and i want to change the ram for a 2gb one , can i put a PC6400 800Mhz ram on it or i have to stick to the 533Mhz ram?

Thanks in advance guys !

Don't...

I have a Dell Latitude 2100 vanilla netbook, with 2GB RAM. Luckly, I got it for free (from school), 'cause it's not worthy of anything else than checking your mail and surfing the web. Can't even watch youtube in HQ.

You should rather get a HP Compaq Mini 331. It has Nvidia ION LE chipset, 1GB DDR3 (1GB max?!), 10.1" display and Windows XP. Or rather wait for Asus' new Atom 330 (dual core) + ION netbook.

The dual core ION is where it's at, wait for that. I tested a WMV HD video on my dads Atom netbook, needless to say, it didn't run at all. My Zune HD is faster.

It's ok since it's for my cousin, all he wants to do with it it's surf the web, skype and office.

Then maybe that netbook is well suited for him as far as the specs go. Also, for the ram upgrade, I'd recommend that you stay away from 800mhz, That way, the battery will get drained faster or you would face compatibility issues with the bios. However, why don't try use 667mhz, I'm guessing that maybe how far you can go.

+1

Or get somethin like Asus (crazy batterylife!) or HP.

OK ill go for 667Mhz, he doesn't want an asus because of the keyboard lolz

thanks for the help guys !

How can he refuse?
