Need suggestions for a rendering PC

Hey guys,

I just watched the $1000 gaming PC video on the razethew0rld YT channel and it got me thinking about this video editing/rendering machine my uncle wants me to build. He uses this software called Magix Movie Edit Pro, but I'm not really familiar with it. Their site says that it supports GPU acceleration from both AMD and nVidia so that's good.

I've always built gaming machines and I'm not too sure how different a video editing spec would be, so I'm just looking for some ideas of what system I could build for around £800. It needs a mouse/keyboard and screen factored into the budget too. Everything except Windows really, my uncle already has a copy of 7.

I'd appreciate any suggestions anyone has for me.

Ok from what I've read higher end CPU's don't benifit from GPU acceleration so might as well not put much into it. this is about $100 over budget

if you have a spare GPU to put in there that will shave $30 off the price.

thats 8GB dual channel, when he wants to make an upgrade he can get another 8GB dual channel kit to get 16GB quad channel, get two more kits to get 32GB quad channel

EDIT: oh £800 not $1000 my bad, still with in budget but maybe not on british sites or where ever you live, things tend to be more expensive over there

I like what Gigabuster has given you. Let me just convert that into church of England for you...

All that comes to a grand total of £780. It's probably woth getting that expensive CPU.
