Need some new thrash/power/speed/heavy metal bands to listen to

Right now I listen to the following bands.

  • Megadeth (incase you couldn't tell from my profile image)
  • Metallica (their old stuff)
  • Anthrax
  • Slayer
  • Iron Maiden
  • Judas Priest
  • Iced Earth
  • Testament
  • Austrian Death Machine
  • Overkill
  • Kreator
  • Municipal Waste
  • Motorhead
  • Marty Friedman

I know there are lots of other great metal bands, european/america, doesn't matter as long as they are good. I haven't dipped into much other types of metal, and I am open to anything other than screamo, deathcore, and death metal. I also listen to Led Zepplin, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Journey, The Beatles, and some others but those are more rock. Today I am primarily looking for some good metal. any suggestions would be great.

Anther question, whats a great place to get metal albums a decnet price, looking at at least 320kbps audio quality and decent pricing, online preferably.

He meant to say skillet their a christian rock band that have many albums, most stuff is not metal but from the bands you currently listen to i would suggest you listen to the following tracks of theirs:

monster

comotose

rebirthing

hero

awake and alive

they aren't as heavy as what you listen to but I personally like them and i like metal too so you may enjoy them the tracks are on youtube

Maybe Dark Tranquillity is something for you, it's a melodic death metal band and they are superb in my opinion.

Try bands like Sadus, Sarcasm, Tankard, Aspid, Warbringer, Watchtower, Annihilator, At war, Demolition Hammer, Gama Bomb, Havok, Necronomicon, & Obliveon (yes OlbivEon).

You should check out Savage Circus, Falconer, and Blind Guardian. They are all kind of fantasy metal bands but very good. May not be what you're looking for but check them out. Especially Savage Circus.

Magnum, Old but good! Listen to the song The Spirit. Edguy, Avantasia (rock opera, Really melodic metal), Kamelot (Prog power metal) and then finger eleven for some alt rock relaxing. Hope you like any of these!
