Need some help on my first time building a PC

I seem to have a string of bad luck all the time. I got some parts the other day as an entry level build at Frys.

Specs:

CPU: A10 6800K

GPU: MSI GTX 750 TI

CASE: Thermaltake MS-I Commander

RAM: Patriot Viper 4GB DDR3 1600

PSU: Antec HIgh Current Gamer 520M 80 PLus Bronze

HDD: WD BLUE 500GB

MOB: MSI FM2+ A55

Once I assembled everything correctly, when I first turned it on. It showed I had a "USB over current error". I searche and tried to fix it but in the end I just gave up and returned and got an Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 and a FX 6350.

Last night, I assembled everything correctly and when I turned it on it said I had a CPU fan error. As I did again, I searched to try and fix it.I checked all the wires. It was all properly connected. Then when I turned it on again, it won't even display anything.

Please help. ;-;

Break it down to essentials only and see if it posts. motherboard, cpu plus heatsink and fan, ram and power supply.

Hmm well this is what i would suggest doing.

Start by taking everything out of the case and setting it up on a desk or something (on something such as cardboard so its non conductive). Turn it on and see if there is any visible problems eg, cpu fans not spinning, hard dive not spinning. Be very careful when doing this!!! I can not emphasise this enough, do not short circuit our motherboard or anything.

Another thing may be to this, it may sound stupid but it may work: Totally disassemble your pc-everything taken off. then start up a youtube video such as Tek Syndicate's or Linus Tec Tips "how to build a pc". Just start building along with them. It may be that you have even just forgotten to plug something in or whatever.

Other than that I cant think of much else sorry. Hopefully it helps.
