Need some advice on a Desktop Upgrade

Hello Tek Syndicate,

This is my first post but I'd appreciate some help.

 

Two years ago I purchased a computer for gaming and over the last 2 years i've been upgrading. My current spec's are 

 

Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC.M4A78LT-M

CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 640 Processor 3Ghz

RAM: 2x4GB DDR3 Dual Chanel 667Mhz per stick 1.50 V

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 TI 


My upgrade I want is to the CPU and the Motherboard and add some cooling.


I have my eye on THIS CPU

as the clock speed is high, If you think this is a good CPU for overclocking and gaming please can you recormend a motherboard .


OR


Can you recormend me a CPU, Motherboard and Cooling (preferably just a CPU cooler) for a max buget of £300.



Also, My PSU is 850W so can you make sure I won't fry my computer,

asrock makes good 990fx mobos.... and that's a good cpu..... as far as a cooler goes, frst, do your ram sticks have tall heat spreaders?

I honestly don't know :/ There kinda old ram like 2-3 years old?

i would get a new gpu aswell change it to say  a hd radeon 7850 :) and what make is the psu 

and yes that cpu is good :)
