i want to buy another 770 ti so i can run sli but i cant find the correct power cable. right now my current 770 has a cable with a 8 pin pcie going into the psu and a 6+2, 6+2 on the other end.
i cant find where to buy another one of these cables can anyone help me find one
the 6+2 Pins Cables are the ones that go in to your GPU, the other end of it which i believe should be an 8-PIn Connector should be plugged in to the PSU, Assuming your PSU is Modular, (Meaning the cables come detached from the PSU and you can plug in the cables you need) However if Not, Like I mentioned above those 6+2 Pin Cables is the plug that should go into the GPU, since you've mentioned it is an 850w then It DEFINTELY should of come with an extra cable so you can have a Future SLI Setup, cause 850W is sufficient and has enough power to push 2, 770s in SLI.
yea it does connect to the psu with a 8 pin and the gpu isnt just a 6+2 there are 2 6+2's on one cable connecting to the psu i can provide a picture if needed.
it might have come with a extra cable but if it did i lost it and i just want to find one on amazon
then that's probably the case cause i find it hard to believe that an 850w Gold PSU didn't come with an Extra Power Cable for an Extra GPU. however i'm not sure if that Cable is sold seperately.
First I would highly recommend trying to find the cable that comes with your psu, however this is the first thing I have found that may work, and I will say again may work.
i don't know, I don't lose my cables, after i finished building my system I put all the Extraneous Cables in a Ziploc Bag and put them away in my closet lol.
i guess, to be honest you shouldn't be running an SLI setup for 1080p gaming thats just stupid. maybe for 1440p, 1600p or multi-monitor Gaming that is where it makes sense, but for 1080p gaming not so much.
