I am a complete noob at PC. I have only one day's reseach under my belt. I would like to know if the PC build i'm thinking about is "Noobish" or do-able for Ultra settings in PC games (ie. BF3 or Cyrsis 2).
I am thinking about building my own PC on iBuyPower.com I want to get the Revolt 320 and upgrade the video card and processor. Here are the stock specs for the 320:
- Intel® Core™ i3-3220 Processor
- 4GB DDR3-1600 High Performance Memory
- Intel® Integrated HD Graphics 2500
- ASRock B75M-ITX USB3.0/SATA-III MB
- 500GB 7200rpm SATA-III 6Gb/s Hard Drive
- LG Slim Slot DVDRW
Here are spec upgrades i'm looking at:
Intel® Core™ i5-3570 Processor
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 2GB
The total price for the revolt upgrade will be $739. Is it worth it? And will it run every game on Ultra settings smoothly?
a 650ti 1gb card will be better than the 2gb 650 for the same cost but still whont let you play high @ 1080p
med/low at 1080p with that set up
So with the 650ti, will I reach Ultra settings? If not, can you recommend the specs you would go with?
There both lowend cards to get ultra in bf3 you need a card around the hd7750 or 670 (maybe a 660ti boost)
Ok, bit of a begginers question but is the graphics card the only thing I have to worry about to get the best performance out of a game? I'm looking to spend as little as possible to get a good, smooth running gaming PC.
If you upgradeing to a i5 thats a geat chip it will handle hi cards and game well just bost your ram to 8gbs (you can only use 4gbs on a game but the extra ram will be used runing your os and backgroud stuff)
That's all I needed to know. Thanks a lot!!!
