i have a SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 OC with a fan that has 3 blades missing yes i broke them while cleaning the pc out anyways i got 2 coolers im thinking about getting one is a http://www.arctic.ac/us_en/accelero-xtreme-iv.html or a http://www.arctic.ac/us_en/accelero-hybrid-ii-120.html what do you all think
Maybe it's a good opportunity to try something like the Kraken G10? Just a suggestion assuming you don't have a custom loop already to simply slap on a water block.
no i have the parts to make a custom loop but it got to expenive and i have clamps and hoses and a resavair to get to finish it and living paycheck to paycheck cuts in to finishing it and its been over a year since i started getting parts for but i was thinking a closed loop for the cpu and closed loop for the gpu to make it easyer and cheaper on me for the time being
Well if you have the time and little bit of money to get a G10 and some heatsinks for things like the memory and whatnot I feel like that will be a better alternative to a custom air cooler so give that a try IMO.
Check out the Prolimatech GPU cooler as well if you are going air. But yeah it would be a great time if you ever had ideas about closed loop water cooling on your GPU to try it out.
i like the design of the prolimatech gpu cooler interesting and gives you opinions for what size fans the bigger the fan the better air flow dont you thing :D
the g10 is cheap yes but i still need to by a water loop or finish my custom loop i started to use it or am i able to add another fan to it b/c i dont see a way to but i could be misstaken
Yup two big old Noctua 120s on there or if you have the room in the case two 140s thing will be silent and cool. Not sure how the fan speed works though when games get demanding.
i would use my extra emermax cpu 120mm fans that i use thru out my case i use them b/c i no they have good cooling b/c they do make psu so they no how to make good fans lol
Just get a replacement fan ...
They are really cheap on eBay , if you live in the EU I can even sell you one ...
You can even bother sapphire for one .
Other solutions : just buy a 92 / 80mm fan and strap it on .
Or any of the above cooler , I just think your card already has a good cooler , so no need to replace it .
i already bothered sapphire but they dont sell fans separately they wanted me to rma it to them to fix it and i dont have the box and stuff for it anymore
and you cant just replace the fan its a specialy made fan that screws in to the heatsing with 3 screws the fan doesnt even have a housing besides the protective housing thats on it now and the wires are wraped around the heatsink to were you have to take the heatsink off or cut the wires so i rather not do that
so if im going to take the thing apart i might as well get another heatsink with new fans
i need to replace the fan i mean it runs cool with 3 broken blades but the noise and vibrations it puts off at around 2500 or so rpms is annoying
