Need opinion on my old rig upgrade

Hey guys.

So very recently, my old OC GTX460 (overclocked to 4GB) GPU broke.

So of course im sick and tiried of my intergrated "Intel HD 3000" and i need a darn GPU.

I was thinking GTX 760, price range of it is great, i don't really want to spend any more money.

If you have something else in mind that would fit my requirements i would be really appreciative of your help :)

This is my current rig (i know it's largely outdated") :


CPU : Intel Core i7 2600K

RAM : 8192 MBytes (2x4) 

Motherboard : Gigabyte - H61M-USB3-B3

GPU : GTX460 (Overclocked to 4GB Vram)

HDD : Western Digital 932 GB

 

So yeah, if you guys got any advice, go ahead, help me out on my new GPU choice, just don't forget that the price limit i set is around the price of GTX760

if you could spend a little more the R9 280x is a really good option

look at a 7950. same price range and its a great card. if you want to save a little money the 7870s are an awesome bang for buck at the moment and it plays all games at 1080p max or near max settings just fine. if you want an Nvidia card then the GTX 670 is also in that price range. it plays games just a tad better at 1080p then the GTX 760 but the 760 is better at 1440p. If Gsync is important to you and you know your monitor will support it, get the 760.
