So I am going to buy a XSPC Raystorm EX240 watercooling kit for either $150 or $170 soon, but I need help with some of it. So should I cool my distiller water overnight before putting it in my loop or just buy it from the store and leave it out? Another question is should I use anything besides a silver coil to kill algae? My final question is if someday I decide to put another rad and a gpu block in my system what kind of block can I get for my EVGA 660tI ftw signature 2 edition.
No need to do anything with your water apart from put it in the loop.
Either use a silver coil or a few drops of Liquid Utopia to help keep fluid healthy. Anything else is snakeoil.
Looks like your specific gpu is supported by EK. Very fortunate indeed. Apart from the one below you can hunt around for blocks that support the mentioned 680 pcb for which your card shares. Other than that you are left with universal gpu blocks.
Thanks for the advice, and what GPU block do you recommend if I end up buying one, like should I get an acetal or nickel or even an acetal+nickel?
Acetal+nickel wont oxidize (which isnt really too much of an issue anyway unless for some strange reason you have aluminium in your loop). My advice would be to go with whatever full-cover block you can find at a reasonable price (new or second hand).
