Need help with PC building

Hey, Im new so sorry if I'm at the wrong section here, just redirect to the appropiate one.
So... thing is I was going to buy a (not hardcore) gaming PC, but then decided it's cheaper and better to just assemble my own. But as I have no experience with it (just what I've read on the net), I was hoping you guys could help me out.

The plan is for me to make a PC which isn't to expensive, yet is good enough for me to play games and work graphics on it. I put together some parts, though I'm not sure what's missing or if they are all compatible (or maybe I could get something better for the same price range) so I'd aprreciate it if you can point out what I should change.

So far I got:

-Mobo~ Asus M4a79t Deluxe

-Video Card~ Sapphire Ati Radeon Hd5770 1gb Ddr5

-RAM~ Ddr3 2gb 1600 Mhz (maybe 4/6GB later on)

-PSU~ Thermaltake 600w

-CPU~ Amd Phenom II X965 X4 3.4ghz

-HDD~ Maxtor sata II 320GB

-Case~ Thermaltake Element G

-DVD Burner~ 22x Lg w/Lightscribe

What's missing? Anything I can improve without the cost of it going sky rocket? Oh and maybe you could point out a few other cases for me to keep in mind...
Thanks for any help or pointers you may give me

that all looks good actually, if you wanted something better i would get a better GPU, but a better dx11 card is quite expensive.

it would help if you put the price your buying your items for and the budget/budget range.

If you get a bigger video card, then you're going to need a different case.

Thing is I'm buying in south america (uruguay) since that's where I live, and prices are double what they are in the States, or practically any other countries
The things I noted down would come to around U$S 1600 if I buy everything here.

And what other GPU do you recommed? And would it be ATI or NVIDIA? The sapphire is allready about U$S 300 for me... so I don't see how I could afford a better one, unless I find a way to buy stuff in some other country and ship it here, which I'm not quite sure that's possible

With your current situation (budget, and I don't blame you, it wouldn't be worth it to buy very expensive parts right now. Since we are in the midst of a generation change of GPU's and overall tech.) I would wait for a few months, or go for the ATI's, ORRRRR if the rumors about the GF100's prices are true then you could go for that.

Or use Newegg for easier summing.

Get a Lian Li Lancool PC-K62 if you can and find a Gigabyte GA - 790XTA - UD4, it's cheaper and has sata 6gb/s and usb 3.0. Are you going to use 4 pci e slots?

I was thinking of going with a full tower... but will keep that case in mind

About the motherboard, I've been reading newegg reviews and I'm not sure what to go with. Specs all seem to be very alike, but which is best for gaming and also very reliable?

-Gigabyte GA - 790XTA - UD4
-ASUS Crosshair III
-ASUS M4A79T Deluxe

Help... don't want to spend the cash on something that turns out being shit, so confused atm

DO NOT ever trust the reviews from Newegg, all just there was trollers IMO. This is why websites are filled with experts lately so refer to them.

Well none of them will give you a bump in gaming performance, but when it comes to overclocking etc etc they may differ.
Go with the one with the coolest appearence (lol).

Protip; google the board name + issue

like this;

 Asus Crosshair III issue

The one with least issues should go.. lol

The Gigabyte all the way, the crosshair has memory problems and the deluxe has too many cheaper competitors which offer the same performance like the msi board.

Do all Asus motherboards have Memory issues!? Because apparently the Rampage 2 Extreme does as well.

It's up to Asus to rectify the issue, mainly everyone should have a peep over the MemOK feature that's been on almost all Asus boards.

How do I use this feature?

The very small button that's labeled as "MemOK", next to a dimm slot.

You're good enough to know shit, so we shouldn't have to tell you again.
BTW for those very knowledgable people out there, that pic is Asus' Maximus III Extreme P55 board.

Not much of a performance differance in the motherboards, But Newegg has a combo deal on the Gigabyte board and the CPU you want.

oh there are a few 890 fx and gx boards on newegg now, I don't see the difference, but I havent done enough research.
