Need Help Urgently- RAM Detection Issue

Hello,
I installed 16gb of balistix ram and windows 8 isn't recognizing all of it. Any help would be appreciated.

More info needed. Do you have a 32 bit or 64 bit version of windows installed? How much of the RAM is being detected?

i bet he's using 32bit version if this is os problem... other way around does your post shows 16GB?

It's a dell motherboard, and im running a 64 bit version of windows 8 pro

go into your BIOS and see if the mobo sees it.

Yes, you're using 32-bit Windows. You'll need to upgrade to 64-bit to be able to use the other 12GB.
Or for now you may be able to enable PAE (if it's supported by your hardware) to use 8GB.

Damn how do i upgrade to 64 bit?

You'll need to buy a 64-bit copy of Windows, then I believe you can install it as an upgrade, maintaining all of your files but just replacing system files with 64-bit.
